Beekeeping Education by Honey Hive Farms

(geared toward homeschool/private school students and Boy Scouts/Girl Scout troops at our location)

Master Beekeeper Connie provides a 20-45 minute presentation (dependent upon participant ages and attention spans);  wherein she discusses the different types of honey bees within a colony and their various roles, why they are important to our world, and how we can help them.  A bee hive, industry tools, and beekeeper's suit will be on hand to give participants an overview of the beekeeping process.  Live honey bees will be on display in an observation hive, which allows for up-close viewing without the possibility of being stung.  Afterwards, participants are given the option of tasting some of our local honey varieties, trying on bee suits for photo opportunities, and purchasing honey products.  

• Cost:  $3 per person (parents/chaperones in attendance are included in total).
• Group Size:   Minimum of 10 participants; maximum limit of 30.
• Location:  Private residence located in northern Peoria, AZ (specific address to be provided upon scheduling confirmation).

Master Beekeeper Connie provides the same great beekeeping information as listed above, but she brings the honey bees and presentation to you!  

• Cost:  $5 per person (rates are negotiable for groups that anticipate a high volume of honey sales)
• Group Size:   Minimum of 10 participants; no maximum limit.
• Location:  Your preferred meeting place.
