Sweet & Savory Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Soy Honey Dressing

Looking for an easy, gourmet side dish that brings out the best of fresh summer produce? This Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Soy Honey Dressing balances rich, caramel-roasted flavors with a bright, citrusy glaze.

By using Honey Hive Farms Raw Arizona Wildflower Honey, you get a natural, unpasteurized sweetness that cuts through the zesty lemon and salty soy sauce without overpowering the delicate flavor of the asparagus.

Prep & Cooking Details

  • Yield: 4 servings

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes

  • Cook Time: 10–12 minutes

  • Key Ingredient: Pure Raw Honey Hive Farms Honey

Ingredients

For the Lemon Soy Dressing:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Honey Hive Farms Raw Honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • Zest and juice of 1 fresh lemon

  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds (divided)

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Roasted Asparagus:

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus (washed, tough ends snapped off)

  • 1 tbsp Honey Hive Farms Raw Honey

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 fresh lemon (thinly sliced)

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set oven to 400°F (204°C).

  2. Make the Dressing: Whisk all dressing ingredients together in a small bowl (or shake them up in a sealed mason jar) until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

  3. Prep & Roast: On a sheet pan, toss the asparagus and lemon slices evenly with the olive oil and 1 tbsp raw honey. Season generously with kosher salt and black pepper.

  4. Bake: Roast for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through until tender-crisp and lightly caramelized.

  5. Dress & Serve: Transfer the roasted asparagus and caramelized lemon slices to a serving platter. Drizzle the lemon-soy dressing generously over the top, sprinkle with the remaining toasted sesame seeds, and serve hot!

Chef's Tip: Thinner asparagus spears roast much faster than thick ones! Keep a close eye on thinner stalks toward the 8-minute mark so the honey glaze caramelizes without burning.
